Family Solicitor – Hybrid Working
Our Family Department is expanding and we are now seeking to employ a full time Family Solicitor, from newly qualified up to 8 years PQE. (We are open to receiving applications from candidates with greater post qualification experience).
The successful candidate will have the option to work at either our Lancaster head office, or Preston together with working from home (hybrid), or on a more remote basis (depending upon post qualification experience).
Due to the firm`s national client base, we operate throughout the Country and welcome applications from candidates based anywhere in England.
You will handle a mixture of private family cases, including private children matters, divorce and financial remedy cases. You will be familiar with dealing with drafting agreements including pre/post nuptial agreements. Your client base will be nationwide due to the firm`s geographical reach.
You must :
- be experienced working to Lexcel standards
- be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- have excellent attention to detail
- be organised
- be able to work as part of a team
- Have solid advocacy experience in the family courts
- have fantastic communication skills and be able to explain the complexities of the law to lay clients with ease.
- have a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding your billing / time recording targets.
- Provide a good reference from your employer
It would be desirable if you have, or aspire to have :
- Experience of TOLATA / Cohabitee cases
- Resolution membership
- Experience of international family law.
- Law Society family / advanced family accredited
